Miss Esther Johnson died at the home of her mother in this city at 5 o'clock a.m. this Wednesday morning. Aged about 21 years.

It becomes our sad duty to record the death of Miss Esther E. Johnson, which occurred at the home of her mother in this city on Wednesday, March 1, of consumption.
Deceased was a young lady who enjoyed the love and friendship of a large circle of friends and acquaintances in St Peter. Possessed of fine attainments, and a cheerful disposition, she was cut down in the bloom of young womanhood, leaviing relatives and friends to mourn her departure amog them.
She was the only living daughter left to cheer her widowed mother in the battle of life, and upon her who had watched her footsteps from the cradle to womanhood, the blow falls the most heavily.
The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon from the family residence. Rev. R.C. Cotton, officiating. She sleeps in beautiful Woodlawn. Her age was 20 years.

After a lingering illness of several weeks, Miss Esther Elizabeth Johnson, of this city, died on Wednesday morning from sonsumption. Deceased was the only remaining daughter of Mrs. Lizzie M. Johnson.
Some weeks ago she returned from St. Paul and was suddenly taken ill. Decline was quite rapid and death came soon. She was a bright young lady of excellent attainments and a host of friends who are left to mourn her untimely death. She was a young lady of kind and cheerful disposition and was in the prime of a young life and her death at such a time is unusually sad.
To the mother, in such an hour of bereavement, the hearts of all our people will go out, and to her is extended the entire sympathy of the community.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the residence.
