Doyle D. Bartgis passed away February 2, 2019 in Oklahoma City. He was born July 18, 1925 near Colony, OK to Earl L. and Ruby M. Bartgis. Doyle graduated May, 1943 from Sickles High School, O.C.U. in June of 1956. He served in the military from June 1944 to May 1946 and from January 1947 to January 1950. Doyle was employed by the I.R.S. January 1957 to March 1982 when he retired. He was Director or Treasurer of Federal Employees Credit Union January 1964 to March 1982. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Edith Bartgis; son, Doyle Bartgis, Jr.; daughter, Dr. Elaine Bartgis; brothers, Raymond and Wayne Bartgis; and his sister, Nellie. Survivors include his wife, Doris Bartgis; brother, Bob and Troivette Terhune; son, Larry Bartgis; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; cousin, Doris; numerous nieces, nephews, other family including a special niece, Roberta and Robert Brake. Services will be 10am Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Sunnylane United Methodist Church, 2020 S. Sunny Lane Road, Del City, OK 73115. In lieu of flowers please donate to Sunnylane United Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
