Bruce Nolan Walker was born January 27, 1951 in Tyler Texas, and passed away January 30, 2019 in Tyler, Texas.

Bruce has a voracious appetite for knowledge. He greatly enjoyed learning about and discussing the cultures and history of many different people and places around the world. He often reflected on the experiences he had while in Thailand where he served our country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Vietnam war.

Although sometimes he had a funny way of showing it, Bruce very much loved his family and friends. He was always ready to help by teaching you or giving you advice on how to improve upon anything you might be working on or facing in life. He lived simply, without the want for material things, and would often not hesitate to give you anything he possessed if you showed an interest in it. He was a master electrician that could wire any building in his sleep.

He is survived by his mother Beatrice Schnyder of Dunnellon, FL, daughter Alicia Walker-Marrs, her husband Brandon Marrs and his 2 grandchildren Benjamin and Brody Marrs of Austin TX, sister Starra Wood and husband Larry Wood of Ocala, FL, brothers Jesse Walker and wife Kelli Walker, Michael Tapley and wife Margie Tapley, and Matt Tapley, his step-mother Carolyn Walker, step-sister Deborah Park and step-brother Chet Hall, his dear friend Richard Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father Jerry Walker and his son LCpl. Daniel Walker.

Bruce will be cremated, and the family will have a Celebration of life at a later date. A portion of his remains were left on the grave of his son, LCpl. Daniel Byron Walker.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to "A Soldier's Child" charity (https://asoldierschild.kindful.com/?campaign=350273).
