Marion ( Murph ) Dropulich died at age 43. His parents were both Croatian. His mother was from Bakarac, Croatia and his father was from Imotski region ( Prolozac Gornji to be exact) Croatia. Marion crashed during the war approx. 6 miles from his father's homestead in Prolozac Gornji, Croatia, and taken by the Italian soldiers once recovered from the crash site. A local man heard Marion's last name and tried to get his family there, but was not quick enough, for the Italian soldiers had already taken him away from the crash site. Marion never did get to meet the family in Croatia. Marion died from a massive heart attack while he was gardening in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I would have been his first grandchild. He died a few years before I was born.
