Jan. 29, 1909 issue of Petersburg Observer:
-Athens. Fay Nailor, the 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nailor, died at her home near Indian Point, Saturday, of diphtheria.
-Indian Point. Fay Naylor the 3 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Naylor, died Saturday morning of diphtheria. Private funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by Rev. J. T. Cherry. The three other children of Mr. and Mrs. Naylor are ill with diphtheria but are improving.

Jan. 26, 1909 issue of Illinois State Register: Athens, Ill., Jan. 25 - Fay Nailor, the 4 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Nailor of Indian Point, died at the family home on Saturday after a short illness with diphtheria. Interment which was private, was made in Indian Point cemetery.

Menard death register page 185 shows a female named Edith Fay Naylor who died on Jan. 23, 1908 at the age of 4 years, 3 months and 28 days. Cause of death was diphtheria. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery but there is no stone for her in either cemetery.
