Ruby Kerr Skinner, 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 20, 2006 at The Gardens in Richardson, Texas. She was born on February 25, 1908 in Asher, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, T. L. Kerr; husband of 9 years, Raphael Skinner; and son, Truman Kerr. Survived by her daughter-in-law, Faye Kerr; stepdaughter Ann Davis and husband, Jack; stepdaughter Donna Nigh and husband, George; grandchildren Carol Neilson, Jennifer Harral, Tommy Kerr, Georgeann Duty, Jana Versteeg, Greg Davis and 16 great grandchildren. With a love for the Lord, an infectious spirit, and always a positive attitude, Ruby was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a faithful and devoted servant to her church family for 77 years. Funeral services are to be held on Thursday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Exchange Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City with private interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Exchange Avenue Baptist Church, 1312 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73108.
