Garrett, Floyd L.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Floyd L. Garrett, 75, Gadsden, who died Sunday, March 16, 1997. The Revs. Stan Broom and Charles Beshears will officiate. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Park with military honors. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Garrett was a native of Collinsville, Al and a resident of Gadsden most of his life, past president and 50 year member of Bricklayers Local No. 11, a member of El Senor Club, RSVP and AARP, a member of the Walnut Park Baptist Church, a 16 year member of the Go-Go Grand-parents and a decorated veteran of World War II serving both the Navy and Marines and a member of VFW Post 2760. Mr. Garrett was a loving husband, wonderful father and friend to everyone. He will be missed by a host of relatives and friends

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Garrett, Gadsden; sons, Travis (Margaret Sisco) Garrett, Rome, Ga., and Ken (Patsy) Garrett, Ooltewah, Tenn.; grandchildren, Josh, Kristy and Gina Garrett, and Derek and Ryan McKinney.

Pallbearers will be Travis Watkins, Johnny Snyder, Lee Dye, D.R. Hamby, Jr., Paul Tate and David Bowen.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Bricklayers Local No. Eleven.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight. The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service.
