ALICE ANN FESSENDEN, 81, died peacefully at home, Friday, September 11, 2009. She was born April 9, 1928 in Port Chester, N.Y. to Thomas and Mildred Minogue. Alice grew up in Greenwich and moved to Riverside after her marriage. She was an employee of New York Telephone Company and after her children had grown she returned to work at the Putnam Trust Company. She is survived by her husband, Seth; a son, Michael; a daughter, Caroline Gigantino and her husband, Thomas of Hamden; two grandchildren, Emma and T.J.; a sister Mildred Hawks of Hawthorne, N.Y.; and she was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Minogue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 15 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside, at 11 a.m. with internment immediately following at St. Mary's Cemetary. Friends may call in Leo Gallagher and Son Funeral Home from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 15. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
