Completed arrangements are being announced for Rachel Irene (Caksackkar) Abbott, 79, a former resident of Samburg and a patient at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Home in Tiptonville, who died Jan. 5, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. Alfred Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Hornbeak.

Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. today.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

She was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Obion County, daughter of the late Luther and Ruth (Carter) Caksackkar. She had been employed at the former Dyersburg Hospital and was a member of Dyersburg Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Regeon of St. Charles, Mo.; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert Earl and Jenny Hoffman of Cloverdale community; two grandchildren, Tammy Thies of Wentzville, Mo., and Jerry Duane Regeon of Wright City, Mo.; two sisters, Katherine Hopkins of Shawtown community and Faye Garrerd of Savannah; and two brothers, James Caksackkar and Bill Caksackkar.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Caksackkar, Raymond Caksackkar and Don Caksackkar.
