David shared the last 50 years with his wife, Brenda. He loved his four children: Rachel, Jennifer, Hannah, and Joshua; his children-in-law, Ed H., Ed W., Zach, and Sara; and his seven grandchildren: Zachary, Jacob, Jeremy, Matthew, Abigail, Madison and Isaiah.

An Arizona native, David received his master's degree in 1956 from the University of Arizona. He sang professionally in South America, Cuba, and the United States. An inspirational teacher and mentor since 1964, his talents brought beautiful music, theatre, and art to southern Arizona. Upon his retirement in 2002 from Cochise College, David was honored with the title of Professor Emeritus.

David's God-given gift of the fine arts changed the lives of many people. His boundless strength, wisdom, and compassion will be missed.

A private family gathering will be held to celebrate the man he was.
