Funeral services for Phyllis J. Rupp. 66, of Blair, were held Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Interment was at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Missouri Valley. Mrs. Rupp died Wednesday, May 8, at Midlands Hospital in Omaha.
Phyllis J. Rupp was born Feb. 17, 1936 in Missouri Valley to Harry J. and Cecil (Niles) Hosman, She attended and graduated from Modale High School. She was employed in the dietary department at the Community Hospital in Missouri Valley for many years.
On Sept. 1, 1972, she married Lowell A. Rupp Jr. in Blair.
Mrs. Rupp was a loving mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Kenny Hamman of Red Oak, Iowa; Marcy and Michael Roberts of Ludlow, Mass.; Debbie and Ron Siefert of Griswold, Iowa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Calvin Bertelsen of Persia, Iowa; Fern and Al Stone, and Wanda Hodson, all of Blair; brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur and Jean Hosman of Aurora, Colo.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty and Ralph Crouse of Greeley, Colo.; Shirley and Dale Muak of Kingman, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Max Brewer and Lowell Rupp, Jr.; sisters, Lucille and Alice; and brothers, Albert, Bernard Sr. and Vern.
Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley was in charge of arrangements.
