Marjorie Ellen McCauley, 88 years old passed away peacefully at her home on Victory Ave. in Grafton on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Marjorie was born in Grafton on May 11, 1930 to Guy Frederick and Clara Louise Lambert Robison. She was the Robison's only child.

George William McCauley, her husband for over 66 years preceded her in death on July 14, 2018. George and Marjorie shared the joy of racing and were inducted into the West Virginia Drag Racers Hall of Fame in Charleston, WV, in 2016 and the Eldora Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 2018. Both Marjorie and George enjoyed racing cars but also liked attending races with friends and watching NASCAR races on TV. The McCauley's were into the sport of racing before it had the mega money sponsors and became so popular.

Marjorie attended Grafton High School and graduated with the Class of 1948. This past summer she attended the 70th Anniversary of her graduating class. After graduation, she was employed at the Taylor County Court House in the Assessor's Office for twenty years. Later Marjorie was co-owner and office manager of George Motor sales with her husband George until they retired in 1997.

Marjorie was always a lady and loved by all who knew her. Throughout her life she and George helped family and friends, took them in their home and cared for their needs. Marjorie truly gave of herself and loved doing for others. Marjorie loved animals but had a passion for growing flowers and plants a lot of her time was spent tending all the many plants. Her yard and home always had beautiful blooming flowers which she took great pride in showing friends and visitors. Thanks goes to her caregivers Flo, Billie, Sara, Jan, and Samantha. These people were with her twenty four hours a day and lovingly cared for her needs. Also, many thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their care and friendship. Lots of love and concern was shown by all and that enabled Margie to stay in her own home.
