Mrs. Carolyn Ward
Mrs. Carolyn Gertrude Ward of Richmond, Va., former Atlantan and mother of John W. Ward, of 220 Wellington St., S. W., died Sunday in Richmond after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Calvary Methodist Church here, with Rev. L. B. Jones officiating. Burial will be in College Park Cemetery.
Born in Chamblee, Mrs. Ward was brought to Atlanta at an early age. The former Carolyn Gertrude Wilson, she was the daughter of Bradley T. and Anne Louise Davidson Wilson. She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, the UDC, DAR, and the Friendly Ten Club.
Also surviving is another son, Bowden W. Ward, of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Bowden W. Ward, Jr., Mary Frances Ward, Florence Carolyn Ward, all of Richmond; and Barbara Jane Ward, of Washington, D. C.
