The death of Elizabeth Jackson Carr, age 91, occurred Sunday, March 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM graveside at Sparta City Cemetery.
Mrs. Carr was a native and life long resident of Hancock County. She was a retired employee of McGaw Laboratories and was a member of the Gaissert Methodist Church and attended Knowles Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Welbon Sterling Carr. Mrs. Carr is survived by her children; Gene (Charity) Carr, Sandersville, Janie (Charles) Brown, Milledgeville, and
Allen (Ann) Carr, Gray. Eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren also survive.
