Agnes, the daughter of Orrin and Adrianna Brown, married Luther E. Cotton on November 6, 1920 in Portsmouth NH as his second wife. She was 55 and divorced; he was age 46 and widowed. Luther was a native of Columbia Falls, Maine and had resided in Kittery Maine where he worked at the Navy Yard and Portsmouth NH where he was an electrican and an official of various municipal water and power companies.

The couple resided in Portmouth NH, moving to Meredith, NH in 1927. Luther was then the Vice-President of the White Mountain Power Company.

Agnes died from a cerebral hemmorhage at the hospital in Laconia, NH, a resident of Meredith NH. Her remains were cremated and buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett Massachusetts. Her husband Luther died in an automobile accident in 1951 and was buried in his home state of Maine in the Columbia Cemetery.
