Mr. Shirl Lee Gilmore, age 82, of Quitman, Arkansas passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at his residence. Born April 30, 1936 in Bee Branch, Arkansas he was the son of the late Bratton and Maggie Carroll Gilmore. He retired as a quality control inspector for General Motors and was a US Army Veteran.

Mr. Gilmore loved gardening and golfing but most of all loved his family. He cherished his time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Bailey; brother, L.D. (Deeper) Gilmore and Ronnie Gilmore and sister Lola Jean Gilmore.

Survivors include his wife Dianne Harman Gilmore; two sons, Phillip Randel Gilmore (Jenny) of Sarasota, FL and Scott Mitchell Gilmore of Memphis, Tennessee; one daughter, Lorrie Lea Gilmore of Quitman, AR; two brothers, Bill Gilmore (Viola) of Greers Ferry, AR and Joe Gilmore (Lela) of Quitman, AR; three sisters, Carolyn Bouquet (Tommy) of Bourg, LA, Barbara Clayton (John Robert) of Heber Springs, AR and Mary Horton (Lonnie) of Heber Springs, AR; granddaughters, Marlee, AnnaLeigh and Lauren; one grandson, Jackson and many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church, Quitman, Arkansas with Bro. Preston Kelso officiating. Interment will follow in Flat Rock Cemetery, Quitman, Arkansas.
