Robert J. Gaffigan, 81, of Clinton Township, died Friday, June 1, 2007, in Holly Convalescent Center. He was born Oct 21, 1925, in Detroit.
Mr. Gaffigan was an installer for Kmetz Heating and Cooling Service Co. He served during World War II in the U.S. Navy and was a member of VFW Post 1146. He loved music and recorded many songs, mainly the oldies, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and the standards.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy; children, Robert Jr. (Cindy) Gaffigan, Patricia (Gregory) Allor, Donna (Michael) Hamel and Billy Gaffigan; son-in-law, Robert Carrier; siblings, Thomas (Bobby Mae) Gaffigan and Delorie Karnes; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Sarah; daughter, Nancy Carrier; and siblings, Helen and John.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road (north of 15 Mile Road), Clinton Township, with the Rev. Tim Galos officiating. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Roseville.
