EVERETT L. SALYER JR. Of Reightown, Tyrone RD 2, Box 168, died at 12:25 p.m. Sunday Sept 4, 1977 at Altoona VA Hospital, following as extended illness. Mr. Salyer retired for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was born July 21, 1925 in Olive Hill Ky, a son of Everett L. and Lucille (Yingling) Salyer, and Aug 4, 1947, in Duncansville married Arlyne E. Bell. Surviving are five children: Larry of Reightown, Mrs. Melanie Wolf of Altoona, Mrs. Sherry Sharpe of Columbia SC, Mrs. Marsha Mountain of Bellwood and Chris of Tipton; five grandchildren, his parents of Lackawanna NY, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Slinkowsky of West Seneca, NY and Mrs. Gloria Gaul of Tonawanda, NY. Mr Salyer was a Navy veteran of World War II, having served in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Juniata VFW. Gerald D. Johnson Funeral Home, Bellwood.
