Phil was born in Spanish Fork, Utah on November 8, 1922. He moved to Bakersfield, CA in 1929 with his family. Phil spent most of his childhood helping his sisters take care of his father. Phil graduated from Kern County, Union High School, June 7, 1940. He then started working at Girard's Electrical, and other small jobs on the side, he was quite the handy man. Phil joined the U.S. Marines, May 12, 1942, and returned home February 2, 1944. Phil joined the Electrical Workers Union, February 26, 1947. In 1952 he married Shirley Bingham, and together they had a daughter, and named her Phyllis Ann.

Phil also was a member of the Eagles, I.B.E.W., and N.E.B.F., and stayed a member up until his passing. In 1963 (after being divorced for two years), he married Betty Bingham, on August 24 and together they made holidays very busy. Phil was a very giving father and step father, and now with 9 children life was everything butdull. He always had somekind of hobby going, from slot car tracks that filled up the entire garage, to starting hisown business. Also became very involved in Go Karts. He was always on some kind of project around the house with his wife Betty. Together they built a loving, busy and never a dull moment life for all of us kids. We would like to also give special thanks to Dr. Robert L. Waguespack and Staff, Margaret and LeAnne for being so personable and caring. Dad always looked forward to his office visits. Also to Hoffman Hospice, there are no words to express the love and compassion from these two facilities. To Donna, Francis, Sheila, Vanessa and Kathy. Thank you all so much for helping us through a difficult time in are lifes, and God Bless. Dad we love you, and miss you terribly. Until we see you agian, you will always be in our Hearts.
