Paul Hammer is buried in Elmwood Cemetery #90946 and not in St. Peters Cemetery #2336505. Both cemeteries are in the same area separated by a road and line of trees. Please correct this to the proper cemetery. Thank you, Charlotte OwensPAUL LEON HAMMER, 94, of Barefoot Bay in Sebastian, FL and Great Barrington, MA died at home. Paul was a WWII, U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and retired from his own plumbing business in Canaan, CT. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington, of the Elks, Moose Lodge and Rotary Clubs. Preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Irene Whiting; step-daughter, Maria Miller and brothers, Abe, Gordon and Robert, surviving are his wife, Verona L Hammer of Brunswick, ME; son, Paul, Jr of Storrs, CT; daughter, Sharon Kay Hammer of Costa Rica; step-son, Peter Dus of Richmond, MA, step-daughter, Lois Smith of Bowdoinham, ME; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A remembrance gathering will be held at the 19th Hole of the Barefoot Bay Golf Club on January 26, 2014. A service will be held in Great Barrington, MA at a later time.
