On October 13, 2018, during the 5 o’clock hour, God sent His angels into the home of Faye Phillips and said, “Come with Me, I know you are tired. You have fought a tough battle, fight no more. Come home with Me!”
Faye was born September 17, 1949, in Jefferson County to Maude (Clarence) Beasley and Roy James.
She attended Jefferson County Schools and was a member of Heights Church in Clearwater, SC. She was previously employed at Burke Medical Center for 22 years. During that time she worked in several departments with the most recent being Purchasing. She loved long trips to Wal-Mart, watching Hallmark movies & the Game Show network, conversations with her loved ones, and just spending time with her family.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Bill Phillips; her parents/step-parents; her sister, Shirley James; her son-in-law, Ronnie Winns; and her in-laws, Gene Phillips, Gladys Shaw, Frank Taylor, and Johnny Shaw.
She leaves to her loving and devoted family precious memories to cherish. Survivors include her children, Missy Kelly of Waynesboro, Jeff (Christy) Phillips of Waynesboro, and Sandra (Chris) Johnson of Beech Island, SC; sisters, Carol (Glenn) Weathers of North Augusta, SC, Nena (Pete) Blount of Thomson, GA, Hilda (Dwayne) Reese of Lincolnton, GA, Janie Beasley of Stapleton, GA; and in-laws, Helen Taylor of Millen, GA, George Ann Phillips of Statesboro, GA, Jane (Robert) Rogers, Bob (Ellen) Phillips, Joey (Becky) Phillips, and Jerry Phillips all of Waynesboro. Her grandchildren include Jeffery Phillips, Josh Phillips, Brittany Greene, Dalton Hunter, Alden Phillips, Keshon Winns, Macee Phillips, Avery Johnson, and Aiden Johnson. She had six great grandchildren, Kameren, Kareem, Kalani, Laniee, Parker, Mila and Grayson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.
