Carolyn Sue Freeman, age 80, of Hendricksville, passed away peacefully at 2:20 A.M. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Garden Villa in Bloomington. She was born in Hendricksville on June 6, 1938, the daughter of David & Marian (Hudson) Abram.

Carolyn was a 1955 graduate of Solsberry High School. She was a member of the Salem Separate Baptist Church in rural Spencer. She was a charter member of the Hendricksville Area Association, where she served as secretary for 16 years. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed reading in her later years, and going out to eat with friends and family.

She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis (Danny) Everett of Bloomington and Becky (Marty) Bowlen of Hendricksville, two sisters, Judy (Richard) McNeal of Whitehall and Rose (Ira) Bastin of Hendricksville, two brothers, David Keith (Judy) Abram of Hendricksville and John Michael (Nina) Abram of Bloomington, and her grandchildren, Chris Freeman, who served as her caregiver, James Uland, Wendy (Nate) Schroder, Tommy (Amanda) Bowlen, Tyler Bowlen, Kyle Criger, and Kaylyn Criger, six great-grandchildren, Alayna, Lathan, Braxton, Maxine, Evelyn, and Isaac, and daughter-in-law, Cindy Gaff of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harvey Leon Freeman, a son, Jerry Freeman, and a daughter, Angela Criger, a grandson, Joshua, and a great-grandson, Cooper.

Funeral service will be held at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 28, 2019, with Rev. Craig Bell officiating. Burial will be held at Gross Cemetery in Spencer.
