Melvin was survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora Swann Wood; his parents, Mr. Loyie B & Mrs. Juette Walker Wood; children, Mr. Shane Wood, Mr. Ricky Wood, Mrs. Roxie Wood Parker, Mrs. Crystal Wood Dixon; brother, Mr. Cecil Wood; sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Wood Blevins, Mrs. Betty Jean Wood Allen, Mrs. Barbara Ann Wood Connor and four grandchildren.
