He was an alumnus of Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Koch moved from Dix Hills, NY to Hendersonville, NC in 1986, following his retirement after 43 years of dedicated service from the Defense Electronics Division of the Sperry Corporation where he was hired as a chemist retiring to be Head of the Engineering Section of Sperry's Research Laboratories. Mr. Koch was a Past Master of Morton Lodge No. 63 AF&AM in Hempstead, NY; District Deputy Grand Master of the First Nassau District, Long Island, NY as well as a dual member of Kedron Lodge No. 387 AF&AM in Hendersonville, NC. He was also a member of the American Chemical Society, The Society of Lubrication Engineers as well as a volunteer with the Henderson County Sheriff's Department.
Mr. Koch is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marie A. Koch; one son, Paul C. Koch and his wife, Irma of Hendersonville; one daughter, Janet M. Danziger; and her husband, Stephen of Palmetto, FL as well as one grandson, Adam Danziger of Palmetto, FL.
