He married Marie Ellsworth on August 5, 1931, in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1965. He married Sarah Barzee in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 10, 1970.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions including Bishop and High Counselor and as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls Temple for thirteen years. He farmed in the Terreton area and was a member of the Holly Water Board in Terreton and at one time served on the draft board in Arco. He was a hard worker who dedicated his life to the Lord and his family.
He is survived by two daughters; Shirley (Paul) Kelly of Orem, Utah, and Mary Ann (Russell) Ritchie of Mesa, Arizona; Three sons; Everett "Bud" (Eileen) Acor Jr. of Idaho Falls, Larry (DeAnn) Acor of Idaho Falls and Daryl (Mary Jo) Acor of Orem, Utah, Together he and Sarah have ninety grandchildren and one hundred seventy great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Ellsworth Acor, his parents, a son Clyde, a granddaughter Laura Acor Guzman, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2003, at 11:30 a.m. in the Terreton 1st Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Todd Simmons officiating. The family will meet with friends on Friday, October 31, 2003, at the Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main, Rigby) from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and prior to the services at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the services at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
