Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Church, Peru with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek, OSB officiating. Burial will follow in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, LaSalle. Visitation will be 9:30-10:50 AM Thursday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru.
Mrs. Brongel was born April 1, 1920 in Peru to Joseph and Mary (Wisgoski) Zborowski. She married Chester Hart on December 27, 1941 in Peru. He passed away on November 5, 1965. She married Thomas Brongel on September 1, 1973 in LaSalle. He passed away October 12, 2003.
Mrs. Brongel was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Peru where she was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She worked at Westclox in Peru for over 30 years and also worked at Heptagon in Peru.
Survivors include her daughter, Charmaine Baker of Lockport; three grandchildren, Lori (Robert) Klotz, Colleen (Steven) Fejedelem, and Chance (Ashley) Hart; two step-grandchildren, Todd (Jill) Clanin and Teri Wright; seven great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren and two sisters, Adeline (Kenneth) Feeney and Bernadette (Randal) Huebbe both of LaSalle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; son, Ronald Hart; son-in-law, Emil Baker; step-daughter, Judy Paulson; one sister, Evelyn Zborowski, and four brothers, Kenneth, Stanley, Chester, and Louis Zborowski.
