Abner Mahaffey married Sarah Elizabeth Moore in Indiana 4/01/1877. They had a daughter, H. Belle Mahaffey about 1878. They moved to Texas where he became the Neches Postmaster 12/12/1910.
Belle Curtis was a widow at the time of her father's death and was the mother of two children.
