She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Verdie and Burton Comeaux, Maurepas; a son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Ann Matherne Guitreau, Maruepas; daughter-in-law, Rita Jane Guitreau Berthelot, French Settlement; 10 grandchildren and spouses; two stepgrandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Relia Picou; and two sister-in-laws, Irene Berthelot, French Settlement, and Marjie Berthelot, Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theophile Guitreau; her parents, Octave and Mathilde Sanchez Berthelot; two sons, Rayborn and Clyde Dale Guitreau; five brothers, Arthur, Roy, Quave, Dennis and Alonce Berthelot; and four sisters, Mattie Fontenot, Octavie Picou, Elvina Chatelain and Florella Welch.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Bear Island and St. Stephen Catholic Church of Whitehall. She was a CCD Teacher, a member of the Legion of Mary and the Altar Society. She was a foster grandparent for Springfield.
