Mrs. Lucy Emily McConnell, wife of William H. McConnell of 26 Linwood avenue died at her home on Friday morning, April 19th following an extended illness. She was born in Pearl Creek on October 10, 1859 and was the daughter of Duncan and Harriet E. Sprague Cameron, and had lived in Warsaw 58 years. On October 9, 1894 she married Mr. McConnell who survives her, together with a daughter, Miss Agnes McConnell and a sister, Miss Helen M. Cameron of Warsaw and one nephew, Dr. F. C. Matthews of Larchmont and New York City. The funeral was held at the Weeks Funeral Home on Sunday, April 21st at 3 o'clock with the Rev. George D. Miller, D.D. pastor emeritus and the Rev. James C. Fahl pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. The burial was in the Warsaw cemetery. Mrs. McConnell was a member of the Presbyterian church, of the Mary Jamison Chapter, D.A.R. of the Warsaw Monday Club since the first year it was founded and of the Political Equality. Her education was gained through a district school, the Bryan Seminary of Batavia and at Ingham University in LeRoy. Previous to teaching 10 years at the Warsaw Union School, she had taught at Bryan Seminary and at Smeed School for Girls, Toledo, O.
