Caroline Jean VanWinkle, 61,daughter of Leroy and Jeannine Paniels, was born Aug. 30, 1945,at Owasso, Mich. She died Nov. 19,2006, at St. Francis Medical Center at TuIsa,Okla.
She married Jimmie VanWinkle June 10, 1971, at Leeton. They had three children.
The VanWinkles moved to Licking in 1992. She was active in American Legion Auxiliary #559 for 12 years and was a member of the 8/40 for nine years.
She was active in the community and school, devoting time to veterans,children with respiratory disease and the Claire House for battered women.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and going to lunch for Chinese food with friends.
She was of the Catholic faith and attended St. John's Catholic Church at Licking.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, Lester Wilcox; and two daughters. Sherry and Connie.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Donnie and Kenny; one daughter, Jennifer; her mother; one brother, Eddy; three sisters, Leona, Sharlene and Darlene; and eight
grandchildren.
Graveside services were Nov. 22 at the Licking Cemetery with Father Matt Rehauer officiating under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking.
