Larry Eugene “Bear” Davis 68 of Lenore, WV passed away February 28, 2019 at his home.

He was born Nov. 1, 1950 in Mingo County, WV. He was the son of the late Rev. Ray Davis Jr. and Mary Workman Davis.

Larry was a Veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. He worked in the coal mines for many years before becoming disabled.

Those left behind to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 46 years; Judy Mahone Davis and their three children; son, Larry Ringo Davis and wife Debra and their children; Jackson Ray and Jasmine Elise Davis, daughter, Mary Allison Davis Bevins and her husband, Gregory Kent and their four children, Katelyn Mackenzie, Matthew Kent, Meghan Grace and Mia Hope Bevins, son, Patrick Michael “PJ” Davis, brothers; Rev. Paul Ray Davis and wife Barbara, Monroe Davis and wife Drema, Ronnie Lee Davis and wife Betty and Gary Michael Davis, sister; Diana Davis Ferris Rumora. He also is survived by his long time friend, Tommy Lee Dempsey and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Parsley Bottom Freewill Baptist Church 12:00pm on Sunday March 3, 2019 with Rev. G.W. Mounts officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lenore Memorial Gardens at Lenore, WV.

Visitation will be at the Church on Saturday evening from 7PM -9PM for all his friends and loved ones.

Food and beverages will be served in the building beside of the church. We hope that all of you will spend some time and fellowship with his family.
