Native American Leader. Xehachiwinga Blowsnake, also known as Stella Stacy, was born in East Fork River, Wisconsin on April 1, 1884 to Charles Blowsnake and Lucy GoodVillage of the Thunder Clan of the Winnebago. Her autobiography,Mountain Wolf Woman: Sister of Crashing Thunder, was written with the assistance of anthropologist Nancy Oestreich Lurie. Xehachiwinga was the sister of Sam Blowsnake, whose autobiography, Crashing Thunder, was written with the assistance of anthropologist Paul Radin. The two books described both traditional and changing Winnebago culture.

Her brother Sam, in keeping with Winnebago tradition, chose her first husband, but it did not go well, and she divorced him after their second child. Her brother Sam then chose her second and final husband Bad Soldier, and this marriage was very happy.
Xehachiwinga died on November 9, 1960 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. She left behind at the time of her death eight children, 39 grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
