Don was Born in Republic Kansas, the oldest of four children, to Albert and Clela Yeager Berry. His family moved to Chehalis Washington in May of 1940. From 1946 to 1948 he served in the Navy as a Petty Officer 3rd class on board the USS Valley Forge. He then went on to earn a Bachelors of Arts degree from Eastern Washington State College where he met and married his first wife Joan Kelly.
Don dedicated his 43 year career to broadcasting and for more than 10 years owned and operated his own radio station, KULE, in Ephrata Washington.
In 1973 Don married Elaine Collard Stolz, and remained happily married to her until her death November 27,2015.
Don was preceded in death by his sister Marjorie Berry Younghans who passed away on January 26, 2012.
Don is survived by his brothers Bob and Curt Berry, sons Bruce Berry and Patrick Berry, daughter Megan Gallup, Step sons Bill, John and Bob Stolz. 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Services for Don will be held Friday March 15th at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 4445 Royal Ave, Eugene at 1p.m.
