Age 92, of Paradise Valley (Scottsdale) AZ, formerly of Bloomfield Hills MI; born in Little Falls NY; graduated from the University of Michigan in 1931; worked 42 years at General Motors; eighth Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO, from January 1972 to his retirement in November, 1974.

Predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Hitchingham of Milan, MI.

Survivors include adopted son Barry Thomas Gerstenberg, daughter Christine Gerstenberg Graye (husband Gerard), and two granddaughters, Megan and Lisa.
