Elton A. Miller, age 97, passed away January 23, 2015, in Council Bluffs.
Elton was born, August 1, 1917, on a farm east of Council Bluffs. His parents were Harry and Annie (Malskeit) Miller. He attended Keg Creek School and farmed until he was called to serve in World War II. He attained the rank of Sergeant in the Army-Air Corps stationed in England. That is where he met and married Daphne Seaman, his wife of 70 years. Together they farmed north of Mineola, Iowa. His memberships include Emanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion in Mineola, where he is said to be their oldest member of over 70 years. He loved and cherished his family, farming, wood working.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gladys Ramm and Vera Hamann; brother, Glen Miller.
Survivors include wife Daphne, of Council Bluffs; son, Keith A. Miller Sr. and companion, Fae, of Minot, N.D.; grandson, Keith A. Miller Jr., also of Minot; two granddaughters, Erin Miller and fiance, Rodney, Stacey Miller, all of Council Bluffs; two great-grandsons, Cameron Sponsel and Amari Johnson; one great-granddaughter Leigh Miller; sister, Bernice Moss and husband, Harvey, of Macedonia, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews.
