Angela Meucci was an extraordinary Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, who led by example with her generous heart and spirit. She will always be remembered fondly by her family for her dedication to them, always tirelessly working to give her best. Her late husband, Alfred D. Meucci, would have been proud to see live her remaining years with dignity, compassion, grace and spunk, bringing joy to her four children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two sisters, two brothers and their spouses, Lena Falconeri and her husband Nicola; Dominic Curcio and his wife Josephine; Michael Curcio and his wife Emma; and Nancy Allegra and her husband Teddy. Born in Sicily and immigrating to the United States in 1926, Mrs. Meucci passed away peacefully in Guilford, Connecticut on July 2, 2011. Mrs. Meucci leaves behind her three daughters, one son and their spouses, Janet Ward and her husband Michael of Contoocook, NH; Daniel Meucci of Newport, RI; Deborah Stark and her husband Stephen of Carmichael, CA; and Nancy Termine and her husband Joseph of Old Saybrook, CT; as well as her eight grandchildren; Stasia of Woodinville, WA, Kristin of Duvall, WA, Jessica of New York, NY, Joshua of Carmichael, CA, and Matthew and Jordan of New York, NY, and her eight great grandchildren, Thomas, Michael, Alfred, Sam, Jack, Connor, Rachel, Allison and Henry.
A private graveside service will be held by the family. Swan Funeral Home in Old Saybrook will be in charge of the arrangements. Donations in memory of Angela M. Meucci may be made to Masonicare Home Health & Hospice, 33 North Plains Industrial Road, Wallingford, CT 06492.
