Allene King Covey of Webster, New York. She died on March 7, 2019, at age 91. Born in Warren, Pennsylvania and raised in Tidioute, Pennsylvania, by parents, Luella (Morrow) and John E. King.
Predeceased by her husband, James N. Covey. Allene leaves her daughter, Cheryl Lawless and husband Matthew; son, James K. Covey; grandchildren, Amy Covey (James Muse), Aleta Covey, Lisa Alff (Kevin), Steven Evans (Nicole), Leigh Evans (Adam); great-grandsons, Logan Muse, Anthony and James Evans.
Allene was a ’49 graduate of Strong Memorial Hospital Nursing School. She and Jim were charter members of the United Church of Christ Congregational in Webster. Allene was an accomplished golfer, avid crossword puzzler, and gardener. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and sharing fine meals with her family.
Service and inurnment with James this summer at Big Moose Community Chapel Memorial Garden.
Family will welcome friends at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Avenue, Webster on Monday, March 11, from 4-6 PM.
