"Monday Rites --- Funeral services for Jimmie Waites, of 1610 Sanford, Marshall, are to be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Gethsemane Baptist Church, in Smithland. The body is at Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. F.E. Johnson is to officiate. Burial has been arranged for Gethsemane Cemetery. A farmer, he was a native of Marion County, and he attended Gethsemane School. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. He died Thursday at his home. He was the son of the late George Waites and Mrs. Lucinda Anderson Waites. Surviving are two sons, Henry Waites, of Battle Creek, Michigan, and George E. Waites, of Houston; two daughters, Mrs. Norvella Haggerty, of Marshall, and Mrs. Exzoria Fullwood, of Shreveport, Louisiana; three brothers, Tom Waites, Luther Waites and Wesley Waites, all of Jefferson; nine nieces; eight nephews; and one granddaughter."
