Henry Easton Peterson was born Saturday, May 11, 1912 in Gebo, Wyoming, the son of Alma Henry and Annie Easton Peterson.

He graduated from Utah State University in 1936. On November 10, 1936, he married Margene Danielsen in the Logan LDS Temple.

He was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 32 years, retiring in 1967 as Associate State Director of the Farmers Home Administration. From 1967 to 1977, he worked for the LDS Church Welfare Services as Director of Welfare Production. He was active in civic and community affairs and served as a member of the Davis County School Board for ten years.

He was a loyal and faithful member of the LDS Church throughout his life, serving in many capacities. He was the first president of the Bountiful North Stake and served in that position from 1958 to 1967. Possessed of an exceptional memory, he knew every member of his stake by name.

He was regarded by all who knew him as a superb administrator and a wise and caring leader. In October 1967, he was called to be a member of the first group of Regional Representatives of the Twelve and served in that capacity for seven years.

Henry passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 1994 at age eighty-two. He resided at 867 East Maplewood Drive (1050 North) in Bountiful, Utah at the time of his death.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, July 18, 1994 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kimball Mill Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 650 South 200 East in Bountiful. Calling hours were held on Sunday, July 7, 1994 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary located at 295 North Main Street in Bountiful, and on Monday at the Church from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Henry was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at the Bountiful Memorial Park in Bountiful.
