Catherine Mozelle Burrell, 88, of Cinnamon Lane, Highlands, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Highlands-Cashiers Hospital.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Ezekial and Martha Elizabeth Picklesimer Chastain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Shirley Burrell, who died in 2002.
A member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, she was a homemaker. First and foremost, she was a mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Tilson and husband Jerry of Highlands and Georgetta Penland Dixon and husband Joe of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Etta Nielson of New Jersey; two grandsons, Jeff Dixon and David Tilson; two granddaughters, Gabrielle Tilson and Jessica Tilson; and two great-grandchildren, Wesley Dixon and Jennifer Dixon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5, at 2 p.m., at Clear Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Everette Brewer and Rev. Everette Wilson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Clear Creek Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Dixon, David Tilson, Dennis Ivester, Ellis Head, Gary Wilson and Curt Lane.
