Born to Sebastian George and Augusta Pfister Voit in Columbus, Ohio, he was married to Alice Belle Metzger, who survives in 1937. Prior to his illness, he worked for Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Co. He was a World War II veteran and member of the Catholic War Veterans. Mr. Voit was a member of St. James the Less Catholic Church.
Along with his wife, he leaves his parents of Columbus; a son, Raymond, at home; three brothers, Leo and Richard Voit of Columbus, and Casper Voit of Dayton.
