Margaret helped with the farm work after she tended her garden. After her children were grown, she spent much of her time piecing quilts. She usually sat with another chair beside her which held her open Bible. Occasionally, she picked up her Bible and read a few verses for meditation as she returned to her stitching.
Margaret's attire was long dresses that covered the ankles. She alwys wore a nice apron and a broach at her neck.
