Elizabeth Wadean Johnson, 76, died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003, in a local hospital.

She was a native of Booneville, Ark., and had lived in Lake Charles most of her life. She graduated from Lake Charles High School and Vincent Business College. She and her late husband, D.L. Johnson, owned and operated Johnson Plumbing company in Lake Charles for many years. She was a retired legal secretary. She moved to Longville Lake 12 years ago after she retired. She attended Lake Charles Bible Church and was a member of First Baptist Church of Longville.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Johnson and wife, Joyce, of Broussard, James T. "Curley" Johnson and wife, Shirley, of Lumberton, Texas, and Zeb Johnson and wife, Kathleen, of Lake Charles; her mother, Reba Cromwell of Longville; one brother, Bill Cromwell of Lake Charles; one sister, Wanda Carnahan of Longville; nine grandchildren, Michael L. Johnson II, Megan LeBlanc, Justin Johnson, Morgan Johnson, David Johnson, Adam Johnson, Kristi Holland, Major Brian Johnson and Wendy Johnson Hankins; and four great-grandchildren, Julian LeBlanc, Graham Hankins, Abigail Hankins and Drew Hankins.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 14, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Revs. Stuart Graves, Don Barrett and Jake Mullican will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. Saturday.
