Alta Beatrice Ford, 91, of Newport departed this life Monday, March 11, 2019. She was born February 8, 1928 to Robert Gifford, Jr., and Leona Keller Gifford. She was a member of Assembly of God Church in Tuckerman. Mrs. Ford enjoyed crocheting, quilting, crafts, flower gardening, spending time with her family and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Emanuel Ford, one son; Bill Ford, several brothers and sisters.

Her survivors are two sons; Tim Ford and wife Sheila of Sulphur Rock, and Paul David Ford and wife Linda of Brookland, New York, four grandchildren; Dana Ford, Darin Ford, Jason Ford, and Jacob Ford, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
