Gladys was the daughter of James Lovorn and Sallie Hooper. About 1928 she married Ignatz Benedict and they had one son, Charles. At some point they divorced and on 13 Dec 1950 she married George Roberts. She was the owner and operator of "The Gladys" beauty salons. Later in life she became and LPN and worked as a private duty nurse at Hillcreek Manor Nursing Home. Gladys died at Darby Square Nursing Facility at the age of 92.
