Mary Elaine Haynes Waters McCafferty Page

Mary Elaine Haynes was born in Eugene, Oregon to Lester Haynes and Yvonne Pomeroy Haynes Wells. She was stricken with pancreatic cancer and died at the young age of 67.

Mary had various jobs throughout her life, having worked at Rudell's Products, Country Coach, States Industries and as a caregiver for the State of Oregon.

Descended from Oregon pioneers, Mary was an enthusiastic genealogist. She contributed to Find-A-Grave in order to share her work with others. Her research is also available at The Applegate Museum in Veneta.

Her first husband was the late Raymond Lesley Waters, who was the father of her late son, Shane.

Mary was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. She married her best friend, Mike on May 26, 2006. She cherished her time with her family.

She was survived by her mother, one son, an adopted daughter and her step-daughter. She was also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Shane, her father, her sister Cheryl Haynes Brown and her brothers, Larry, Jim and Tim Haynes.

A memorial for Mary was held at the Crow Grange on Territorial Road in Crow, Oregon on March 30, 2019.
