Dean D. Greene, 85, Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at a local hospital.

Dean was born February 26, 1934 in Circleville, the son of Glenn O. and Myrtle A. (Winters) Greene. He graduated from Soldier High School in 1952.
He worked for Gibson Concrete as a backhoe operator for 36 years, retiring in 1996. After retirement, he worked for U-Haul for 10 years.

Dean married his high school sweetheart, Doris Gibson on July 7, 1953 in Topeka. His wife of 65 years survives. Other survivors include sons, Dennis Greene, David (Kelly) Greene, all of Gardner; daughter, Kathy (Warren) Deckert, Mound Ridge; grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Butterfield, Scott (Jessica) Greene, Jake Uhlrich, Casey Uhlrich; great-grandchildren, Ty Greene, Paige Greene, Jaxson Novacek; sisters, Dixie Mannell, Glenna (John) Chiles; and brother, Curtis (Jan) Greene, all of Holton.

Cremation has taken place and no public services are scheduled.
