IU Health Goshen Hospital, Goshen where he had stayed since Monday
morning.
He was born on July 16, 1924 in Dodge City, KS, to Joe B. and Lydia (Troyer) Miller. On February 19, 1948 in Topeka he married Katie Troyer; she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are three sons, Dale Eugene
Miller, Billy (Terry) Miller and Crist (Ida) Miller Jr., all of Shipshewana;
son-in-law, Richard (Loretta) Miller of Goshen; nine grandchildren; 11 great
grandchildren; sister, Mary Miller of Goshen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Ruthie Mae Miller, a son, Paul Miller, six brothers, Roman, William, Ben, David, Noah and Joe Miller Jr.; four sisters, Sue Yoder, Katie Bontrager, Polly Miller and Edna Miller.
He was a Deacon for over 40 years in the Old Order Amish Church, a farmer and had worked at Star Tank in Goshen for 20 years.
Visitation will be after 2 pm Saturday and all day Sunday at his former residence, 2205 South 1200 West Shipshewana.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Monday December 17, 2012 at the
David Bontrager residence, 61215 E. County Line Rd. Shipshewana. Services
will be conducted by Bishop Karl Dean Miller and the home ministers.
Burial will be in Bontrager Cemetery, Middlebury.
