Marvin died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Odessa. He was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Ballinger where he grew-up and graduated from Ballinger High School. He graduated from McMurray College where he received a Master of Education. Marvin had a 36 year career in education.

He married Patricia Akers on March 24, 1951, in Anson.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kirk, in 1989.
