Memorial services for Barbie Cavitt, 53, of Marietta, OK will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Eastside Baptist Church of Marietta, with Mike Sampson officiating. Just prior to the service, a benefit luncheon is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Church’s Fellowship Hall.
Barbie was born in Floydada, TX on May 6, 1965, the daughter of James William Cavitt and Sue LaJune Kittrell Cavitt. She passed away Tuesday, March 19, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
A 1982 graduate of Marietta High School, she then received an Associates Degree in Phlebotomy from Murray State College, Tishomingo, OK in 2000. Barbie was a member of the Thackerville Church in Thackerville, OK and later attended Vanguard Church in Marietta. She loved praise and worship, singing and being with family, especially her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a daughter, Tabatha Churchill.
She is survived by three daughters, Jamie Guzman, Jennie Stephens and Sarah Smithers; a son Zechariah Churchill; two brothers, James Cavitt and Daniel Cavitt; three sisters, Sherrie Lytle, Kimberly Cavitt and Jody Harris; and 13 grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers are Sherrie Lytle, Pamela Neu, Carolyn Hogan, Jody Harris, Kimberly Cavitt and the staff of Cross Timbers Hospice.
The family plans to inter the cremains in the Burneyville Cemetery, Burneyville, OK at a later date.∼Barbara LaJune Cavitt
